Don's Family Style Buffet

Very down home country atmosphere. Don's was recommended to me by my co-workers. They highly recommended the fried chicken. It is the ⭐ of the show

If you're in mid-Missouri and not familiar with Don's you're really missing out. Affordable all you can eat fried chicken with all the fixings! They offer a rotating other main selection also depending on the night. You can also order off the menu. The chicken is always hot and juicy!

The buffet is fairly small. The day that we went the mains were only fried chicken or taco stuff or burrito stuff and then there was a salad bar and lots of delicious yummy desserts to choose from. There's plenty of parking and the atmosphere is family friendly and very laid back. You seat yourself here.

Always love some Don's the fried chicken is superb always have a great salad bar the buffet doesn't have a huge selection but everything is delicious they definitely go for quality over quantity

Not a single vehicle in the lot that looking like it's seen the mall, but has seen good honest work. (Good sign #1). Everyone, hosts and patrons seems to have never met a stranger. (Good sign #2). Easy going atmosphere, excellent buffet of fried chicken and good fixings, salad bar, and a dessert bar with a working ice cream machine. Small choices on the bar for main dishes, but it's a small family place. Well worth your time if you're close and hungry. Priced perfect for what they offer.

My entire family love going to Don’s. We take advantage of their senior discount night ( Tuesday I believe). The buffet never gets low on food, even if the restaurant is busy. The wait staff and the kitchen staff are always moving, cleaning, and visiting with the customers. If you want a “down home” feel…. This is the place! Their fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans reminds me of my grandma”s. We especially love the little lady at the register when we leave…she is just as sweet as pie! Speaking of pie, they have a dessert buffet as well. I personally love the gooseberry pie and the butterfinger pie. It’s a big restaurant with a huge parking lot. Sometimes you will need to park further away,but, at least you can burn a calorie after eating too much, like always do. I highly recommend this place to locals and people just passing through if you are looking for some good old fashioned food.

We ate at Dan‘s family style buffet on a Friday night and had delicious catfish. Their fried chicken was crunchy and cooked perfectly as well. They were incredibly busy, but the service was superb. We got seated quickly and the waitress was quick to get our drink order as well as come back and check on us an appropriate amount of times. It sure seemed like all the food was homemade. The dessert bar was incredible with seasonal fresh fruit, cobbler, and pies, and a soft serve ice cream machine that was able to keep up with the crowd.

We ate here during the second week of August after visiting the Rutledge flea market and staying in Kirksville, MO. It was our first time, and after seeing a Google review for this buffet, we decided to take a left turn and try Don’s Buffet. Oh man, the food and service were amazing! The food was so good that I even forgot to take a photo. Everything they served was excellent. It’s absolutely worth driving over 100 miles to visit and eat here! The buffet price is very reasonable, and you won’t be disappointed!
